F.A.Q.
We use PowerDVD from Cyberlink. It has a 'capture' button and you can set it to save them to a specified folder.
2. Is there any chance you could do One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, 24, Point Pleasant, Bones, .....?
Well not sure, most of them not.
We started this site for Buffy, Angel, The O.C. and Tru Calling. We have now moved on to dedicating our time to other shows that we watch and love ourselves.
Randomly we do some other stuff, usually if we have the dvd's but we are sure you understand that we do not have dvd's of shows we are not ourselves dedicated to, and are basically not planning on buying them because... we don't watch them and they cost money!
This site is all in all pretty expensive. We would like to give you the world, but just can't effort it. So we decided to stick with the shows we really love watching ourselves.
3. I want to help! I could cap...
That's really thoughtful of you. In the past we've experienced some troubles with giving people access or counting on people that we hardly knew and decided to keep the circle small.
However if you're determined then introduce yourself by email. But before you do, please see if you qualify:
- Are you older than 17?
- Do you have PAL dvd's? (Region 2 or 4)
- Are you aware that capping one episode takes an hour, and sorting the caps afterwards approximately 2 or 3 hours? Depending on how much you capped and how fast you can choose.
- Do you have any experience with capping in the past?
- Do you have any experience with uploading through FTP? Do you have an FTP program?
- Do you have a generating and renaming program? XnView < Please take a look before applying.
- Can you promise us to finish what you've taken on? Know that this will take you a long time, so it's a commitment! Once we start with something, people here keep asking about it, and they can be very whiney! Are you able to deal with that?
So if you think you are able to handle it all, then please email us! However don't expect us to accept you. This is our site and we decide who we give access and who not! Don't cap a whole movie or episode and then tell us that we have to take it because you've spend so much time... we didn't ask you to.
Sorry to be harsh, but we've loads of bugging people in the past and this is and remains our site. So unless you're Line or Rosely, you have no rights to claim anything.
4. Okay... well then can I help in any other way?
Yes you can!!! We have a 'donate' option on the first page! But will also plug it here: If you donate we will be able to do more for the site!
5. Can I get ... in a zipfile?
I'm sorry but we really can't do that. Most episodes we delete from our harddiscs after we've uploaded them to save the space. To make you zipfiles will cost us a lot of work, and well... we already spent a really good time to give you this site with these caps so there is a line... sorry.
6. Hmmm I could make a site like this!
Ofcourse you could! Remember though that this site is around 50GB as it is at the moment. It takes about 5 to 12GB traffic a day! And over 120 GB traffic a month and on busy times it caused a server load of 30 on a shared server.
(Which is why we have a dedicated server)
7. HUH??? I'm banned from this site???
LOL! No you're not! We don't work with logins, so you can not be banned ;) If this happens, then please just relax, it will be fixed. We are not sure why this happens sometimes, but it's probably something MySQL related. Just check back later and it'll be fine!
